The Bluewaters neighborhood

he biggest Ferris wheel in the world, has made its appearance off the Dubai Marina, the countdown that ended today has begun. Garnde is waiting for the Ferris wheel and Bluewaters, the island that hosts it.

The connection to the mainland is served by a new road network, including a direct connection to Sheikh Zayed Road, pedestrian access from The Beach JBR and by sea operated by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

Bluewaters Island is home to numerous courtyards, pedestrian spaces and scenic walkways above a lush green landscape. Central and Sunset Avenues separate the three zones of the island, while the North and South promenades lead pedestrians to the beach and views of Dubai.

Bluewaters is located just across the street from JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residences), a 20-minute drive from City Walk, while Dubai International Airport is only 30 minutes away.

Ain Dubai, the world's largest Ferris wheel

Bluewaters Island is also home to Ain Dubai, the engineering marvel that serves as the island's hub for breathtaking views unlike any other in the world. Ain Dubai is 250 meters high, higher than the Las Vegas High Roller (167 meters) and the New York Wheel on Staten Island (190 meters). Ain Dubai carries up to 1,400 passengers at a time in its 48 double-glazed capsules, offering an unforgettable 360 degree view of Dubai.

The center of the island : The Wharf

The Wharf, the trendy shopping district of Bluewaters, stands against the backdrop of Ain Dubai. It has 132 stores and restaurants scattered along an avenue characterized by low-rise buildings and walkways that crisscross the area. The surrounding trees and palm trees already create playful light and excellent shaded areas to enjoy the view. The Wharf's dining options range from fine waterfront restaurants to the more extravagant - an eclectic mix of bars and bistros serving a range of international cuisines.

Central Avenue borders the waterfront of The Wharf, while North Walk and Wharf Avenue border the waterfront surrounding Ain Dubai Plaza below the Ferris wheel. A 265-meter-long pedestrian bridge, The Wharf Link, connects this area to The Beach on Dubai's coast. The Bluewaters Wharf station serves as a dock for marine cargo.
