We strongly advise you to book your activities from France before your stay.
A security code from your bank will be sent to your French number by SMS for online payment.
For currency exchange, go to the shopping malls.
Avoid the airport and the hotel, the exchange rate is much less advantageous there.
Be sure to ask about this rate before any operation, don't forget your receipt.
There is no cost involved, except for a few dirhams (around 3 or 4).
You will be offered two options when paying by credit card euros or dirhams.
Choose dirhams it will be more advantageous.
As in the United States, the age of majority in Dubai is 21, so you must be over 21 to rent a car.
A credit card is required to rent a car, so be sure to check with your bank before you leave to make sure that the deposit is available.
Be aware that if you want to go shopping it is generally more expensive than in France.
Don't forget to ask for an invoice to be reimbursed at the airport.
Facetime, Snapchat and Whatsapp audio/video calls do not work in the UAE unless you install a VPN.
You can download the BOTIM application to make audio and video calls. We advise you to buy a SIM card when you arrive at the airport (passport required).
You will have the choice between several operators but the Virgin mobile offer is the most interesting for the vacations.
The electrical outlets have 3 entries (identical to those in London for example).
The easiest way to get around is to rent a car, but there are also taxis/Uber (don't be fooled by the cabs that approach you in suits, they are called limousines,
they are more expensive) or the metro (be careful, this one does not serve the beaches).
There are no dress restrictions, you can dress as you wish.
Unmarried couples can stay in the same hotel room.
The week here is from Sunday to Thursday, Friday and Saturday so the weekend days but everything remains open and accessible 7 days a week.
For non-EU travelers who need a visa, you will need to apply for one at the airline or at the reception of your hotel.
